The Yomiuri Shimbun is Japan’s leading national newspaper, founded in November 1874. Through our three headquarters, plus regional bureaus throughout Japan and in major cities of the world, we report on domestic and foreign issues in our morning and evening editions. Our newspaper has the largest circulation in the world. As of January 2022, the circulation of our morning edition is 6,990,000 copies a day.
